You lived your life in peace until you died

Even when you suffered from the pain

I never saw your tears, but sure you cried

We prayed and wondered, what’s the gain?

Soon I knew the only way was death

Through fighting you could also understand

I cried until my very last breath

Cancer won, but memories still stay
